ValFast

ValFast is a consequent development of the existing spindle wedge concepts. A compromise between stability, functionality and safety will always be dealt with in the already existing designs.

 

The new ValFast unites the best of the hitherto known and brings some "smart" features with it.

Why is the ValFast so robust?

Instead of using ball bearings, we use a plain bearing to absorb the axial force of the spindle. In the case of the ball-bearing which use all competitors products, bearing damage can occur within a few weeks. Especially when the spindel wedge is operated at the upper limit or with a impact wrenches.

This problem is not expected with the ValFast!

 

Furthermore the ValFast is made of high-strength materials. Particularly in the case of aluminum, a special alloy is used which achieves a strength as known from Stahl.  

The most heavily loaded component of a spindle wedge is the spindle. In the Valfast the most robust spindle and spindle nut is installed, which we could find on the market!  

 

 

  

 

 

For the structure in the sheets we tested 3 different variants: stamped sheets, welded strips and simple welding points. Punched structures showed the considerable disadvantage that the punching is pushed back into the sheet at high loads, which means that the hold in the wood deteriorated again. The welded-on strips are difficult to push into the seam joints and can tear off. Welding points can not tear off, go well into the saws but are semi-circular as standard, so you do not ensure the best hold in the wood.

 

BaSt-Ing is proud to have developed its own variant, which we have protected by patents. At ValFast, we use weld points that are quarter-circular.This form is best suited to the wood, is extremely durable and can be used well in the wood.

 

 

 

 

ValFast - "The Functional"

 

  Have you ever worked with a spindle wedge? - Then it is certain that you have already turned on the spindle and the wedge slides out of the saw groove so that the tree does not lift.

This avoids the ValFast reliably by means of patent-protected measures!

 

   The wood screw:

On the side of the ValFast is a wooden screw with its aid you can pull the spindle wedge quickly and easily into the saw groove. This is especially easy if you use a percussion driver.

Other advantages of ValFast:

 

Internal spindle:

No soiling of the grease-lubricated spindle (lubrication leads to a significant reduction in performance and wear increases)

No damage to the spindle during transport

 

Flat construction:

The flat design allows the wedge to be inserted completely into the tree. In particular, when a tree is caught in the branches, it can still be dropped.

 

Flat wedge angle:

ValFast has a relatively small angle compared to the competition. This allows us to improve the lifting capacity of the wedge. We can compensate for the disadvantage of the lower lifting height since we can push the wedge completely into the opening seam groove.
